Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union

Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union (CBCCU) is a state chartered cooperative financial institution.

CBCCU was chartered in 1957 to serve employees of the Clarkston Community School District. In April 1986, employees of the Brandon School District were added to the field of membership. In July 1990, the employees of Independence Township, which is within the geographical area of Clarkston Community and Brandon School Districts, were added. In March 1992, the students of the school districts and their immediate family members were added to the field of membership. In June 1999, the Charter was again expanded to include all individuals who live or work within the geographical boundaries of the Clarkston and Brandon Schools districts; any person over the age of 55 who receives a retirement annuity, pension or social security or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in or belongs to a retirement organization located in the county or in a county contiguous to this Credit Union; Employees of this Credit Union; Members of the immediate family of the foregoing; Organizations incorporated or otherwise, composed for the most part of the same general group making up the outline above and as spouse of a deceased member if elected to membership prior to remarriage.
